About Me
Hi! I’m Ara
I was born in Venezuela, although I left home when I was 17. Since I was a kid, traveling the world seemed like the best of the adventures, I think (with a few more layers) it still does :) I’ve lived in different countries, a long time in Buenos Aires and Tenerife, as well as long periods in Asia (where I always return).
Since my first trip to Nepal, 13 years ago, I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation, which are integral parts of my life. What else... I studied psychology, have worked in NGO's and yoga retreats, love reading, nature, a meaningful conversation, a good laugh, animals, the ocean....
I really enjoy meeting people and getting to know what's their story and I'm always looking forward to broaden my own worldview and to deepen my understanding of others.
End of my small resume :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love how Couchsurfing creates opportunities to connect with people that also have curiosity for others, for culture, for travel.... and the way this brings a much more authentic and enriched experience of the places I visit. Also, highly valued, CS has gave me the pleasure of meeting some wonderful friends :)
