About Me

Aloha! My name is Aram. I am originally from Hawaii and now living in Seattle getting ready for a big trip.

I am traveling from Ecuador to Costa Rica this October. Looking to go deep into nature, experience local culture and have fun!

I am a teacher, an artist... I wear many hats and have lived in Asia and Europe.

I have some interesting interests; permaculture, capoeira, reiki, tarot, plant medicine to name a few :)

Life is the adventure you create. 🤙

Aloha, Aram

Very into new music... https://soundcloud.com/blese/

I've seen all the movies pretty much... but favorites are from Emir Kustrica, Studio Ghibli, War Kong Wai, Akira Kurosawa, Stephen Chow, and crazy Anime...

Read a lot of books... love Italo Calvino, Pablo Neruda

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pulling up a basket of crabs from the docks in Bandon, OR
Canoeing through a submerged village in the mountains of Bali.
Plunging into Crater Lake for a quick swim.
Rode down a volcano on a mountain bike in Hawaii

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach design thinking (IDEO), run innovation and strategy workshops.
Also technology stuff (21C knowledge workers) - evernote, google docs, slack, etc.
Presentation design, and thinking about doing a workshop on how to design and run workshops :)

I know Maui well, grew up there.
Spent 4 years in Shanghai, 3 in SF, 2 in Hong Kong, 2 in Seoul, so if you need advice I used to be a local :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Local knowledge of Maui...
Cooking, drinking, good music...
