About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To survive the next six months in Thailand by meeting amazing people, hear about their travels around the world, show people around Chiang Mai, and explore the world of Thailand
ABOUT ME
Hey! Well I'm a 21 year old student from California. I'm currently on break from San Francisco State University and I'm staying here in Thailand for another six months. Back in San Francisco I'm an environmental studies major.
I'm one for conversations and I really love learning about where people come from and basically anything about them at all. I love sitting in cafes and drinking good coffee while talking about world politics, especially if it involves Barack Obama.
I grew up in a house way out in the Redwood forests of Northern California and love spending time in nature. Right now I'm just switching into living in Chiang Mai without going to school so I'm keen to meet and make friends here in the city.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that there is a certain serendipity to life and that things will find a way.
I feel that one of the greatest things someone can commit their life to is learning about the world we live in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't hosted anyone yet but I'm working on having a schedule where I can meet people and show them around Chiang Mai and help them get around if they don't speak Thai.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My most recent surfing experience was meeting three surfers in the islands in the south of Thailand and having great conversations with them for a couple of days.
Interests
I'm interested in anything that people feel is important. If someone is passionate about a subject I feel that it's always interesting to listen.
Personally I'm interested in Environmental issues, politics, Burma, Architecture, Sustainability, Travel, Gin Rummy, card or board games, technology, other cultures, and anything else I can learn about.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any music is good music.
I really like movie like the Fifth Element, which is one of the best movies ever. But I enjoy watching whatever.
I just finished a couple really cool Arthur C. Clarke books. Now I'm working my way through a book about urban development in China.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helping build a Wat (Buddhist Temple) in a small village in the mountains west of Chiang Mai. Me and my dad who was visiting Thailand helped dig the foundations and set the posts of the Wat. It was great working with the village men building something that had real meaning.
Teach, Learn, Share
One of the most important things I've learned in Thailand is to go to the bathroom when you have the chance, because you don't speak the language, you're not quite sure what's going on, and you never know how long until you get another chance!
I just want to learn about places I've never been to.
Countries I’ve Visited
Iceland, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom
