About Me

Hi, I'm Archana Kaushish, a yoga instructor passionate about health, mindfulness, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. My journey with yoga has not only transformed my life but also allowed me to guide others toward balance and well-being.

I’m an open-minded traveler who loves exploring new cultures, cuisines, and ways of life. Japan has always fascinated me with its rich traditions, serene landscapes, and deep appreciation for wellness—values I deeply resonate with as a yoga practitioner.

When I’m not practicing yoga, I enjoy learning new languages, cooking, and sharing stories. I believe in the power of kindness, community, and meaningful connections, which is why I’m on Couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m excited to visit Japan or any other country to immerse myself in its culture and lifestyle. I hope to find a host family that can share their daily life and traditions with me while I bring my yoga expertise to the experience. Whether it’s a yoga session, cooking a meal together, or simply sharing stories, I look forward to creating beautiful memories together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Music
I love soulful, calming music that complements my yoga practice. Classical Indian music, instrumental tunes, and soft melodies are my favorites. I also enjoy world music and exploring traditional sounds from different cultures.

Favorite Movies
I’m drawn to movies with deep storytelling and meaningful messages. Some of my favorites include "The Pursuit of Happyness," "Into the Wild," and "Eat Pray Love." I also enjoy Japanese films, especially those by Studio Ghibli, like "Spirited Away" and "My Neighbor Totoro," for their magical and thoughtful themes.

Favorite Books
I love books that inspire personal growth and self-awareness. Some of my favorites include "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle, and "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda. I’m also intrigued by Japanese literature, such as the works of Haruki Murakami and books about Zen philosophy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the opportunity to teach yoga to a group of children in a rural village. Seeing their enthusiasm and how quickly they embraced mindfulness and movement was both heartwarming and inspiring. It reminded me of the universal language of kindness and how small moments can create lasting connections

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach yoga and meditation, whether you're a beginner or experienced. I’m happy to guide you through practices for relaxation, flexibility, or mindfulness. I can also share tips on healthy living, breathing techniques, and yoga philosophy.

I’m eager to learn about culture, traditions, and daily life. I’d love to try cooking, explore local customs, and maybe even learn some basic phrases to connect more deeply.

I can share my experiences as a yoga instructor, stories from my travels, and delicious Indian recipes. I’d also love to exchange ideas about wellness, mindfulness, and personal growth. Together, we can create meaningful memories while learning from each other.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge of yoga and meditation, offering personalized sessions to help you relax, energize, or simply try something new.

I’d also love to introduce you to Indian traditions and culture. From discussing the philosophy of yoga to sharing stories about Indian festivals, rituals, and daily life, I’m excited to bring a piece of India to you.

Cooking is another way I’d love to connect! I can prepare authentic Indian dishes, such as dal, curry, or a flavorful biryani, and teach you how to make simple recipes like chai or chapati.

Beyond that, I’m happy to share meaningful conversations, exchange travel stories, and learn about your culture in return. Together, we can create a unique cultural exchange that celebrates diversity and connection
