I'm an independent performance artist and an arts educator by profession. I am actively involved in finding ways to include arts in curriculum for children as little as toddlers. My training began with Indian classical dance, and I continue to practice Kathak and use this form to help students understand the body more deeply , meditatively. I use modern dance techniques to further tone and condition the body. I have a 4 year old daughter and my partner and I reside with her in Bangalore, India.
I definitely am a healthy eater. What I eat, really matters especially in this age of processed foods and "quick" foods. I avoid things that have too much Chilli.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My daughter and I are traveling to Japan from Sept 23-Oct16th 2022. I am a regular visitor to Japan due to my collaborative theater project. But this time, I decided to bring my daughter to give her a new experience of Japan! Typically I would travel only for the project , but this time I wanted to spend few days with my daughter in Tokyo. For this, upon a friend's suggestion I have created an account here . But I hope that as we continue our travels around the world in future, I can use this site to find affordable, clean , safe places that are family- friendly to live in.
We also enjoy meeting new people and understanding their ways of living.

Reading, exploring new environments, new cultures, I continue to be fascinated with the diversity amongsts humans. And yet we are all THE SAME in some manner.
