About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm trying to figure out where I want to live in life. And in the meantime travelling around and enjoying all the places.

ABOUT ME

So far in life I'm been trying to find a balance between work, fun, travel and family. I so far have managed to get work to move me where I want to go (San Francisco for 7 years, London so far for just over 1 year, next?). Has made for some great experiences and travelling is quite addictive. I always make it home to Canada a couple times year to visit the folks, siblings, nieces and nephews, etc. and that's a enough babble about me!

PHILOSOPHY

There are only a few things in life really worth getting worked up over. I'm usually quite easy going unless you spill my beer and then I'll probably buy another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met up with some people when working in various places, also a few people while travelling about in Bulgaria, and couch surfed once in Florida and once in Paris. But getting busier now!

Interests

climbing, travelling, live music

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading... yes, three at once... don't ask... :)

Brick Lane (Monica Ali) - about a Bangladesh women shipped off to London for an arranged marriage

A Long Way Down (Nick Hornby) - about 4 Londoners who are trying to kill themselves at this famous house where people jump, but then they become friends and... well I haven't finished it yet so...

The Tipping Point - don't know where it is right now, probably still packed away?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm... standing a top Machu Picchu as the fog lifted in the early morning... was pretty incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to spend some time volunteering on my next trip to SE Asia or Africa doing groundwater stuff (that's what I do). I was getting involved with Engineers Without Borders, but then I moved to London and unfortunately the long volunteer-type travels have fallen apart for now. London is fun, but I'm working too much right now :(

Countries I’ve Visited
