ABOUT ME

Like most millennials, I took a weird and expensive path to get where I am now. I own a small business where I explore cities and create minimalist "maps from the mind" to make a beautiful and simple chart of the urban landscape. I've been at it since Early 2013 and have enough success to keep doing it. My process involves discussing the city and my drafts of the map with locals, which is where you come in. I need help figuring out what the essential gestures and neighborhoods are to get an entirely well-rounded picture of the city.

Every time I go on a trip, I learn so so much about how people behave and how universal our experience is. Wanna hang?

I can have a quiet night in or stay up til dawn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first couchsurfed in Leiden, NL. It was amazing. On that trip I stayed with friends and at hostels, but neither were able to convey the character of a place quite like couchsurfing. Since then I have been attending couchsurfing meetings, as well as surfing whenever I need a place to stay. I have never had such a great time in my life. This really is a great idea.

Unfortunately, I cannot host anyone at this time but will as soon as I am free of uptight roommates. Maybe soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in North Dakota, Nebraska, Berlin (DE) and Leiden (NL), New Orleans, Austin, Vegas and LA.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned how to use a letterpress, which I thought I would never have the patience for. I've also driven across the USA 5 times. It's always too fast.

I really like doing stuff. Wanna do stuff together? I'm open to suggestions, but here are some of my favorites:

Drawing, digging through old junk, collecting leaflets, drinking coffee, cooking, riding bicycles, taking pictures, staying hydrated, chitchatting, yoga, pushups.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a really good houseguest and will be fully honored to be in your space. I will also bring you a gift, or at least send you a Thank You note after. I also know tons of humans, and am always connecting people to help them pursue their absolute potential.
