About Me
I decided to do an excursion to Europe this winter, starting from Copenhagen, ending in Vienna, just for new experiences! I’m a first year student at Northwestern University, just 30 minutes north of Chicago and I plan on majoring in economics and perhaps education.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because i love the experience and the people on this platform make my trip much more fulfilling. One day when I am out of uni, I would love to host to give back!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music, pop, rock, classical, but not very keen on country music. I’m currently obsessed with Beethoven and the Marias. :)
While I don't watch many movies, I can say that I enjoy a Meryl Streep film. Instead, I prefer watching shows like Netflix's Bridgerton and cartoons like Gravity Falls! I love reading Jane Austen books and my favorite book is Emma by said author.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This is going to sound really American, so I'll try to translate it in the sentence following this one haha: I did a 24 hour drive from Chicago to the Rainbow Bridge National Monument, a whopping 1,600 miles away during the Labor Day weekend last year from the half-time of a Friday's football game and came back at 10pm of Labor Day.
The un-americanized version: I did a 24 hour drive from Chicago to the middle of no where, which was 2.575 kilometers away from 1. Sept-4.Sept last year!
Teach, Learn, Share
As someone who is interested in pursuing an education degree, I can say that one of my highest morals is to share and learn from each other. As many news-goers know, the US is very bipartisan, divided between republicans and democrats. These two groups blame each other for the state of our country, but the truth is that if we listened to each other and talked as though we were neighbors, I think we would be in much better condition.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bring my experiences as a born and raised American, talk about my family, who come from Mexico, and always talk about really anything.
I am also interested in talking about your country’s politics, since I am going to be taking a class next quarter on the European political climate! I would love to get to know future hosts and compare our experiences!
