Suffice it to say that I think I'm pretty chill and considerate, and other people seem to share this opinion. Oh yeah, and I love animals more than I love most people.

PHILOSOPHY

Try to enjoy myself as much as possible while doing my best to avoid inflicting harm on others (and whenever possible, actively work against injustices) in my own pursuit of happiness.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If it were up to me, I would CouchSurf whenever I travel because I hate feeling like a tourist and connecting with locals is an awesome, fun way to avoid that. At the moment, though, traveling with my family is the norm and they usually opt for hotels. But I would love to get more experience as a surfer and host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Pretty limited- stayed in Burlington, VT with an amazing, hospitable bunch of UVM students. My friend and I had such a good time surfing with them that we really wanted to go back for a visit, but it didn't pan out unfortunately. We also chilled with a CSer who lived in our area in Massachusetts, and we had a nice time watching TV and talking.

Swimming on the Costa Rican coast, at night, in bioluminescent bacteria, with a bunch of fresh scrapes stinging on my leg from clamoring over craggy boulders to get there!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I know lots of stuff about animal behavior, speak Spanish (I said I'm an "Expert" in Spanish but would actually consider myself somewhere in between Intermediate and Expert-my proficiency fluctuates a lot, especially if I'm nervous!), and can talk forever about ethics.
