About Me

I’m Ares, a tattoo artist from Barcelona who loves traveling and meeting people through real human connections. I run a small tattoo studio where I create meaningful, fine-line tattoos inspired by personal stories, love, and memory. When I travel, I enjoy experiencing places through the people who live there—sharing meals, long conversations, art, and the little moments that make a city feel alive. I’m a very respectful, calm, and grateful guest, and I always treat the spaces where I stay with the same care I would my own home. I truly believe the best part of traveling is the people you meet along the way.

If you enjoy art, deep conversations, or just sharing a drink while I sketch, we’ll probably get along well. Sometimes I even love drawing small tattoo ideas inspired by the people I meet during my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I’ll soon be going to Ireland for an Erasmus experience, and several people recommended this community to me. I love the idea of traveling in a more human way—meeting locals, sharing stories, and discovering places through the people who live there. For me, it’s not just about finding a place to stay, but about creating real connections and experiencing the culture from the inside.

Interests

I’m very interested in art, tattoos, travel, and human stories. I love meeting people from different cultures and understanding how they see the world. I’m also passionate about creativity—drawing, designing tattoos, and creating art inspired by emotions and personal experiences.

I really enjoy deep conversations, nature, the ocean, good food, and discovering new places through locals rather than as a tourist. I’m also very interested in psychology and the way people connect, heal, and grow through life experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love fantasy books because they let me travel to other worlds without moving from my sofa. I’m fascinated by stories full of magic, adventure, and complex characters—books that make you forget where you are for a while. I also love films that feel immersive and visually beautiful, the kind that pull you into another universe. For me, stories are another way of traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most meaningful things I’ve done was helping create a project that supports families who have lost a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth. Through art, memory-making, and sometimes tattoos, we help parents create a symbol of love for their child. It’s very emotional work, but it constantly reminds me how powerful human connection and compassion can be.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing art and creativity with people. As a tattoo artist, I can teach simple tattoo design basics, how to create elegant fine-line drawings, or how to turn personal stories into meaningful symbols. I also enjoy exchanging life stories, talking about travel, and learning from different cultures. If you like, I’m always happy to sketch a small tattoo idea or create a drawing inspired by our conversation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer art, creativity, and good energy. I’m a professional tattoo artist, so if you’d like, I’d be happy to create a small meaningful tattoo for you as a memory of our time together. I also enjoy cooking together, sharing travel stories, and having long conversations about art, life, and different cultures.

Most importantly, I’m a very respectful and considerate guest. I take care of the spaces where I stay, I’m tidy, and I truly appreciate the generosity of people who open their homes. For me, Couchsurfing is about human connection, kindness, and creating beautiful memories along the way.
