I’m Ares, a tattoo artist from Barcelona who loves traveling and meeting people through real human connections. I run a small tattoo studio where I create meaningful, fine-line tattoos inspired by personal stories, love, and memory. When I travel, I enjoy experiencing places through the people who live there—sharing meals, long conversations, art, and the little moments that make a city feel alive. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I’ll soon be going to Ireland for an Erasmus experience, and several people recommended this community to me. I love the idea of traveling in a more human way—meeting locals, sharing stories, and discovering places through the people who live there. For me, it’s not just about finding a place to stay, but about creating real connections and experiencing the culture from the inside.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love fantasy books because they let me travel to other worlds without moving from my sofa. I’m fascinated by stories full of magic, adventure, and complex characters—books that make you forget where you are for a while. I also love films that feel immersive and visually beautiful, the kind that pull you into another universe. For me, stories are another way of traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most meaningful things I’ve done was helping create a project that supports families who have lost a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth. Through art, memory-making, and sometimes tattoos, we help parents create a symbol of love for their child. It’s very emotional work, but it constantly reminds me how powerful human connection and compassion can be.
