Hey! I'm Sergio.
I'm 25 years old, and I am a Graphic Designer/English Teacher/Photographer. I'm an avid reader, a music lover (always looking out for something new to listen to), and a film connoisseur (not really, but I pretend I am).

I'm fascinated by everything art related, especially photography, typography and modern art. I love psychology and hope to one day become a counselor (INFJ here), a writer, a master photographer, or a hermit.

I have a bit of a dark sense of humor, though I tend to be really quiet when meeting new people. Despite my goofy facade, I enjoy getting to know other people, listening to their stories, and asking deep questions.

Tengo 25 años y soy un fotógrafo, diseñador gráfico y maestro de Inglés. Soy un ávido lector, un amante de la música (siempre buscando algo nuevo que escuchar) y un conocedor del cine (o al menos eso creo).

Me fascina todo lo relacionado con el arte, especialmente la fotografía, la tipografía y el arte moderno. Me encanta la psicología y espero algún día regresar a la universidad y sacar mi maestría en Consejería (INFJ, vaya sorpresa, no?). En caso no cumplirse lo de volverme consejero, espero llegar a ser un escritor, un maestro en fotografía, o un ermitaño...

Tengo un sentido del humor algo negro, aunque tiendo a ser algo tímido al conocer a gente nueva. A pesar de esto, me gusta conocer a otras personas, escuchar sus historias y hacer preguntas profundas que realmente me permitan conectar con otros.

Due to the current political climate of my country, Nicaragua, I've had to temporarily relocate to Miami. I'm looking to make friends here.

Interests

Anything art-related is sure to get my attention. Museums, art galleries and book stores are some of my favorites places, second only to hipster coffee shops and the beach.
I'm foodie and love trying out new dishes. Indian food is probably my favorite, though. I am fascinated by technology, especially mobile technology.

Todo lo relacionado con el arte seguro atrae mi atención. Los Museos, las galerías de arte y las librerías son algunos de mis lugares favoritos; además, por supuesto de tiendas de café hipster y la playa.
Me encanta probar platos de comida de diferentes culturas, aunque debo reconocer que la comida de la India es probablemente mi favorita.
Me fascina la tecnología, especialmente la tecnología móvil.

Music, Movies, and Books

Though I listen to a variety of genres, I tend to prefer pop, dance-pop, dance, R&B, and folk/indie sounds.
Some of the albums I currently have on repeat are: Carrie and Lowell, by Sufjan Stevens; Froot, by Marina and the Diamonds; Blue Film, by Lo-Fang; Hopelessness, by Anohni, and, of course, Adele's 25.

My all time favorite book series is Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Though they are technically children's books, the dark humor and the plethora of cultural references woven into them really resonate with me.
Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway, and Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar, are also on my list of favorite books. I'm also a big fan of Agatha Christie's mystery books, specially those featuring Ms. Marple.

Cloud Atlas, The Hours, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and August: Osage County are among my favorite movies.

Aunque escucho una variedad de géneros, tiendo a preferir sonidos folk/indie, pop, dance-pop y R&B.

Mi serie de libros favorita es Una Serie de Eventos Desafortunados, por Lemony Snicket. Aunque son técnicamente libros para niños, el humor negro y la gran cantidad de referencias culturales en ellos me llaman mucho la atención.

Mis películas favoritas son Cloud Atlas, Las Horas, Eterno Resplandor de una Mente sin Recuerdos, Volver, etc.
