About Me

If you're reading this, thanks for considering hosting me! I hope I can win you over through this short About Me introduction and summary of me as a human. My name is Aria (yes like the Game of Thrones character, no I don't watch it, yes I look like her), and I'm from the USA. I'm from New Jersey and I go to school in New Orleans, an amazing place that everyone should visit if they come to the States, in my humble opinion.

I now study abroad in Milan, and since then I've gone to cities in and around Italy and explored them to my fullest time-sensitive capability. I love to wander around and get lost in new places because I always end up talking to people who live there about their experiences throughout the world. Staying at hostels and doing CouchSurfing has also helped me meet a lot of great people who I have shared their stories with. I've always been able to add new places I need to make time for in my ~travel notebook~

Every time I visit a new place, the plan is to explore the city during the day and party at night. Wherever I am, and wherever I'm going, I'm always looking for people to join me! :) So if you can host me, and you're not busy during those times, feel free to tag along.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really feel like the best way to experience a city, especially in a short amount of time, is to visit the least touristy areas - the places where people actually hang out, the restaurant or street food stand that people actually eat from, the hidden lakes that are a little bit off the main road. It's much easier to find out what those things are when you're staying with someone who lives in that city....

But also, it's always great to meet new people in general. Learning new ways of life, hearing about your favorite past memories, basically becoming best friends for a few days. Or if you're busy, we can eat breakfast or dinner together or something. I'm not amazing at cooking but it gets done!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movie: Amelie and... Devil Wears Prada
Favorite music: I'm into all kinds of music, really. Funk, techno, synthpop, indie rock, new wave, lo-fi, jazz, house... if it makes me feel a certain way in the heart, I'm into it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd have to say... skydiving on my 18th birthday. I personally think that's pretty sick

Teach, Learn, Share

I can answer myths and questions about the United States, if you have any (I did not vote for... u know who). I am always learning, so everything you tell me will be heard and every place you suggest will most likely be visited. In return, I can share my personal experiences, maybe in places you've never been, or we can bond over places we've both been. That sounds nice, right?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm in the process of gaining "cooking" as a skill in my inventory. I get by with food that I make myself, and I think it's pretty darn good! Carbonari pasta, spaghetti & meatballs, sweet n sour chicken, breakfast sandwiches... very strange menu. But I'm pretty adventurous with foods I'd say, and I'll help you prep for your dishes :-)

Countries I’ve Visited
