Hi couchsurfers! I'm a 28 year old French girl, currently doing a PhD in Philosophy in Paris, in the "Centre Pompidou" (modern art museum). I love reading and writing, as well as travelling a lot - and when I travel, discovering as many beautiful landscapes as amazing people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quite new on Couchsurfing, I only experimented it once in Istanbul during five days. It was a wonderful time with a great and welcoming host, who made us discover lots of nice places in the city, we partied and met other friends together. So I'm eager to renew the experience! Couchsurfing is a way to visit a place without being totally a "tourist": it is more a friendly and intimate way to experiment a city, and offers a lot of good memories and hopefully new friendships to keep.

Unfortunately, I cannot host for the moment because I'm moving to Canada for three months and then I still don't know where I will live in Paris when I come back. I will be able to host couchsurfers after summer 2015 and will give details about the place when I can :)

Interests

Travelling: so far in Asia (Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Philippines), North America (Canada, United States: Middle West and West, New York), and Europe (Italy, UK, Romania, Greece, Norway, Iceland, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Turkey).

Writing short stories, articles and novels, composing music (rock, post-punk), and painting and photography

And also spending time with friends, no matter what for: watching movies, drinking beers, partying, cooking, walking or just talking, and especially visiting new places!

Music, Movies, and Books

My tastes are very motley: in books I love poetry, essays as well as very heterogeneous kinds of novels: adventures, romance, philosophical novels... Some authors I enjoy a lot are Dostoevsky, Kafka, Albert Camus, Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Ken Follett, Shakespeare, Baudelaire, Verlaine, Pessoa, Nietzsche, Romain Gary, Jack Kerouac.

About movies: I do not have any a priori kind of preference, every good movie whether comedy, fantastic or drama is good for me! And I even like bad ones sometimes - if they are bad enough to make laugh.

As for music, I'm especially fan of rock songs of all kind: Woodstock singers, punk, new wave and post punk, dark wave, electro-rock and electro-goth, grunge, but also folk, blues and country. I like Otis Redding and Ian Curtis, Velvet Underground and Sex Pistols, the Animals and Bob Dylan, Devo, The Cure and Johnny Cash!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Difficult question... I jumped paragliding when I was 14, but it was a long time ago. I probably had some strange, unpredictable (and maybe amazing?) adventures when travelling, but they are worth telling my future Couchsurfing hosts on a couch and with a drink :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Jokes, passion for good food (even if I am really not a good cooker), passion for cute animals of course, discussions and enjoyable drinks and walks at a host's place of outside. I am curious and respectful, so I would be happy to share many things with my host but also to let him live his own life when he wants. Sharing a moment of life, of discoveries, and if possible of friendships and memories.
