Hello everyone, I'm Ariane and I'm originally from Paris (France). I lived a year in the UK when I was 15 with my whole family, and after that when we went back to France, I decided I wanted to continue high school in an international school, so I could continue to meet awesome people from all over the world.

I'm a jazz musician (vocalist) and composer. I studied 4 years these passions of mine at the great school of Berklee in Boston. There also I met amazing musicians and human beings from the four corners of the world!
But the studies were intense and I never got used to the crazy winters there, so after graduating, I decided to take some time off and go to Israel where there was a sister-school to mine, and where I could easily make contacts, while learning Hebrew, and teaching English in a primary school in Jaffa.

Now I'm off to Edinburgh for a year where I'll be studying Musicology for my masters degree, which I'm really excited about!!

Other than music, I love dancing, I actually want to start taking salsa lessons. And I also love practicing yoga and meditating. I try meditating everyday (it's hard!).

I find it much more interesting to stay with locals when I have time to travel. I've had an amazing experience staying in some kibbutzes in Israel and to see how life is like there (plus, every kibbutz is different, and so life around the kibbutz very much varies depending on its location and size). I found it also incredibly enriching to share stories with your hosts, you build incredible memories. Once I'm settled in a definite place after my studies, I'd love to host travellers as well!

Wow... I guess I'm lucky to say that there's a few things:

- Going to Brazil for a month with my good friend and her family, and celebrating my 19th birthday in Rio with a helicopter tour over the city by day, and going to the samba clubs by night!

- Paragliding in the alps, the next year.

- Doing a 3-day silent retreat in an ashram in the desert in Israel.
