Overview
About Me
Researcher in Mathematics, grown up in Paris, curious, reliable and open-minded. Was once told I was "very analytical" (???). Warning: distressing tendency to be ironical.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Compared with the dominant ways of traveling, I think we are creating something new, simple and evidently closer to what we are.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music to listen to: FIP! A French public radio where you can hear absolutely any style of music from Chopin to the Chemical Brothers, from Buena Vista Social Club to Goran Bregovic - though most of the time I have no idea what is played.
Music to dance: latin music, electro, RnB, hands clapping, whatever :)
Books: when I find time to read, I love reading poetry (Aragon, Hugo). My favourite book is Madame Bovary.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Why should I do something amazing?
Stopped shaving my legs for one year some years ago... Is that amazing or just weird?
Something crazy I did: innocently said at loud voice I was not interested in soccer, in a public space in Marseilles, oops.
But the best moments in my life don't belong to the class of Amazing :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a few steps of salsa or other couple dances, a few words of French or... a few equations?
I love sharing experiences on travels and observations on different cultures. Expert pop sociologist.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Time, discussions, dinner?
Happy to share time with my host/guest whenever possible, but can also be a tough and independent person if the host/guest is busy busy.
