About Me
I've just come back home from a brief stint working as an outdoor instructor in Hong Kong. I'm looking to start saving up back home to then go on a new adventure somewhere different. But, what's the point in staying in hotels when you can get to know the culture of a place by meeting and staying with locals?
I would describe myself as a curious young woman anxious to get out and see the world. I love learning about different places; specifically their history, language and culture. And of course, their food! I love cooking and experiencing different cuisines. Staying with locals would give more of a feel for the culture and (more likely) welcome experience.
Sports I enjoy as hobbies are ice skating, swimming, horse riding and surfing. I used to swim competitively and rowed at a national level for rowing in high school for 3 seasons. I like to stay active and generally prefer walking places when I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Where to start. I love a variation of rock, classical, instrumental (like stuff from film scores) , country and some pop among others. Some favourites include Tracy Chapman, Evans and Doherty, Guns 'n' Roses, The Pretty Reckless, Chopin, Hans Zimmer, Alexandre Desplat and Lady Antebellum. I can generally listen to anything though so whatever anyone else is down for just don't expect me to know all the words haha.
Movies is a hard one but maybe Arrival? Otherwise Pearl Harbor has an amazing soundtrack and The Man Who Sued God offers Australian comedy that always leaves me in stitches. Hard to say but wholly depends on the mood. I'm always keen to try new films though, not too picky.
Harry Potter is always a winner but loved His Dark Materials trilogy growing up (the film The Golden Compass was based on the first book, Northern Lights). Slowly working my way through the Game of Thrones series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched the sunrise over the Himalayas from Poon Hill in Nepal.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach basic riding skills and have coached rowing.
Would love to learn how to snowboard. Wakeboarding would be pretty cool too. It would be awesome to go skydiving too actually (get a thrill and conquer my fear of heights).
Share laughter, smiles and adventures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Make you feel at home in my country. Would love to show you our beautiful country and our genuine Kiwi hospitality. There's some pretty gorgeous spots here in New Zealand and to share that would be pretty amazing.
Love to cook, host and enjoy good conversation so you would be well looked after.
