I've never "used" CS before, but i heard of it from some friends of mine that did and i definitely think it's a great way to travel cheap and to meet new people :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i was sit on a pier in Stockholm, and in front of me there was a bridge, and trains and "underground" were passing on it.. Then i saw something moving on the roof of a train: three guys stood up on it while it was moving very fast and jumped off into the sea screaming something in swedish! it was awesome!
