My name is Arianne, I am originally from the Philippines but left in 2012 to move to Singapore for a job, and moved again to Canada in 2019. I love travelling in search for the unknown! Nothing beats the experience of getting to know locals and fellow travellers and learning about different cultures. Of course, not to mention, the long nights of nonsensical but memorable conversations! Travelling makes us better people, we become more understanding and respectful of others as we learn more about ourselves in the process. I am very easy going, simple things make me happy - books, coffee, walking and ice cream - occasionally, alcohol too lol! I think we'll never run out of stories to talk about, and things to laugh about. Hobbies wise, I paint when the mood calls for it. I have also gotten my open water diving cert, and being under the sea makes me go crazy happy. I love roadtrips a lot, I also love being on trains!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

To meet and understand the way of life in other cultures. Also, for peculiar wholesome experiences that continuously make me question the way I live my life. I love epiphanic moments. I value my encounters, if you made a mark, you will not be forgotten. :)

I am in couchsurfing because I want to believe in a world without boundaries, somehow, only travelling makes that possible. And by staying with local hosts, I learn a lot about life beyond what the museum or that grand monument can tell me. I wish to reciprocate the generosity by hosting others too!

I have made friends in travelling that I constantly keep in touch with, they have changed some of my views in life and each one of them has contributed to what I have become now.
