Hey! I'm Arie and I am a university student here in Calgary! After years of reading and solving Accounting problems, I want to travel to get a breather before entering the corporate life. I never want to stop learning, and I found that having to experience a new culture and be surrounded by other people is a great way to learn. For me, traveling is a learning experience. I would love to travel alone in order to enrich my soul, to open my mind and to grow as a person . I've never been to a lot of places yet, but soon enough I would spin a globe and say "I've been there" to whatever country my finger lands on.

I am on coachsurfing because I want to be immersed in the culture. And the best way to live like a local is none other than to live WITH a local! It is also a way to connect with someone who actually knows the city/country. I find that it is the best way to learn and experience the culture. Accommodation is the second highest expense while traveling (number 1 being the flight itself). We all want to get our money's worth in our travels. Coach surfing is one way to reduce our travel expenses and spend it more on food and experiences!
