What I’m doing with my life...
Ya know the ushe, trynna change the world. Super woman ain't got nothin on me... *cough cough* But really looking for an adventure or creative outlet when I'm not working on school or research.I'm studying Intercultural communication, teaching ESL, Ethnic studies and Anthropology in order to finish my PhD and Teach at a university. I'm heavy into any form of art and up for any adventure including interesting foods.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I thoroughly enjoyed traveling through Rotterdam couch surfing and and the possibility of couch surfing through my entire study abroad. It will take some organizing but I am always up for an adventure!

Interests

Food! If I have the chance I want to complete culinary training. I'd love to learn about making cheese.

Learning! So nerdtastic but I love hearing people's stories, understanding what makes people tick, and experiencing deep+shallow culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now? It always evolves but Melody Gardot, James Blake, Miguel, Alabama Shakes, Alina Baraz and Galimatias, Gary Clark Jr., Gotan Project, lake street dive, India.arie... I sing, played guitar when I had time and want to see a live show while in travelling.

Don't get to see many movies but I'd like to. The last one I saw was Butterfly Kisses, Mari y Mosquita, Dear White People and Selma.

Books that aren't assigned readings are rare. Although I'm in a place of studies where most my books are interesting. However I started Don Quixote last winter break but that's not a light read :) I finished some reads from Ta-Nehisi Coates and my hero Anthony Bourdain.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've acted in some commercials and film. I have also done some really amazing service projects across the states and the globe.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook like a mutha and can teach presentation or professional communication development skills. I also have finished Teaching ESL degree through my University.

I would love to learn just about anything! The hunt for new knowledge is my life's passion and career pursuit.
