About Me
CURRENT MISSION
There is always something to learn; I want to keep up with my knowledge of Spanish & German, as well as learn more languages. I want to try all the funky foods, learn how to cook a dish of what your family has made for generations (if you'll allow me the honor), experience other cultures, see some beautiful landscapes, and go swimming wherever I can.
ABOUT ME
Etymologies fascinate me. I am an avid fan of most outdoor endeavors, some I have yet to try (i.e. surfing)!
I want to explore more of the world - I am doing it sometimes by myself, and sometimes with old and new friends. The best is being able to reunite with old faces in new places and picking back up where y'all left off.
I like collecting rocks and shells from different places that I have been (which I realize is not the lightest collection to accumulate on the road...hah)!
I also enjoy getting to know people in the place where I am staying in. It can mean a lot to share connections and experiences with others that you meet along a journey.
I'm down to go out and experience night life every now and then, drink some beers, grab some coffee or tea, and explore. Sometimes I just prefer to cook food and chill in the evenings. Depends on how the day went, ya know?
I have been reading a lot about Buddhism lately, and it reminds me of the simple joys in life and to live in the present moment, and to listen/learn from others. There is almost always something special and unique about everything and everyone. Always down for a good story!
I am laid-back for the most part, I love to laugh, music is awesome, art and creativity are key, and languages are the fruits of the tongue.
PHILOSOPHY
"Be excellent to each other."
Nothing has ever been resolved through hate. Some hate has been evidently perpetuated through generations - we all need to collectively be able to educate, understand, and love. How can we come to this point together? Is it even possible at this point since it is too ideal? What I do know is that we can all play our meaningful part and if we bring children into this world, may they be raised in loving, healthy, creative, and understanding environments.
*Golden Rule is key*
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I clean up after myself, and I can engage in pretty much any conversation you throw my way. I will sometimes throw random topics into the mix! I take the time to listen and understand others. That is a rarity, in some ways. We have the time - let's be patient with one another, appreciate the awesome things in life, and live in the moment.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed in Munich, Australia, Bali, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Thailand, Laos, and hopefully Mexico! I'll be here from Aug. 2nd to Aug. 20th!
Interests
I love bikes, I like a good cup of coffee, hiking, rafting, music, family/friends, drawing eyes, painting, I love cheese, (spicy) food, tattoos, I love learning languages, trying new things, laughing, learning about different cultures/customs, etc...
I think that if you are bored then you let that happen to yourself. Try to always be mentally or physically engaging in some way (unless you are too sleepy! Haha). The world is filled with so many things and we are living and traveling in it. Relish in it - go do something.

Music, Movies, and Books
Rolling Stones, Gin Blossoms, Dandy Warhols, STP, Gillian Welch, Manu Chao, and more... lots of bluegrass, classic rock, 90s rock...
I do enjoy many films, though I cannot deem one a "favorite" at this point in time.
You Are Here, The Great Gatsby, Road Map, Anne Rice novels, and more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed the ruins of Duernstein in Austria, which was pretty rad!
Saw an amazingly brilliant meteor shower whilst midnight canoeing!
Slept in a cave under a waterfall in Nicaragua.
Swam in crocodile-infested waters in San Blas to the boat I was staying on. Not too far from that point was the Darien Gap.
Camped on a beach in Panama for the night because immigration closed early and I wanted to go to Colombia. I booby-trapped my backpack and got the worst sleep ever, haha.
Teach, Learn, Share
People should learn from each other in a respectful manner. Our differences are what make us interesting.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will probably buy and cook you food!
I usually have something cool to share :)
