ABOUT ME

I am a 20 year old student currently studying abroad in Angers, France in the Pays de la Loire. Originally, I'm from Burlington, Vermont and a student at the University of Vermont. I am about to complete my third year of university studies and am currently pursuing and Honors degree in European Studies with double minors in English and French. This is my first time in Europe (I've been living here since January) and I'm loving it! I love to be outside, to laugh with my friends, to listen to and make music/art, to sing loudly and freely and most importantly, to eat all of the wonderful food Europe has to offer. I never take myself too seriously...I'm far too clumsy for that. I'm missing my family and friends back in Burlington, but I've met so many wonderful people here in Europe and am just hoping to meet more!

People are inherently good. No one is born evil, but sadly there isn't enough trust in the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this project but think it is a fabulous idea, especially as I'm someone who seeks genuine cultural experiences, new ideas, and new friends! I will definitely be hosting in Burlington when I return!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only couchsurfed for one night in Nice, but it was an excellent experience. I asked to take a shower and my host replied, "This is your house, do whatever you'd like." I think that is the perfect couchsurfing spirit.
