Music - I'm a walking list of music recommendations and love making old-school mix CDs for people I meet - though making playlists works too when technology is limited ;) In terms of what I'm into at the moment, I really like Icelandic music (that's where my family is from originally) - I attended the Iceland Airwaves music festival in 2014 and encountered a whole stack of new artists that are in heavy rotation in my headphones.

Movies - I like a lot of movies that inspire travel - Before Sunrise/Before Sunset, Roman Holiday, Amelie, Midnight in Paris - but also some real thought-provoking films (I studied film in university).

Books - I'll stick with writers because it's too hard to pick out books - Zadie Smith, Haruki Murakami, Joseph Boyden, JD Salinger, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Douglas Coupland, Cheryl Strayed, Miriam Toews, Alain de Botton, and Bill Bryson.
