About Me

Hello my name is Arielle and I was born in Guatemala and moved to the United States at 7 years old and have been living here ever since. I studied Environmental Science in college and now work as a sustainability advisor for the Los Angeles Business Council remotely. I love to travel and have been inspired to learn as much as I can from every country possible in hopes of someday giving back to our beautiful Earth by finding ways to make it a better place. I love getting away from the touristy parts of countries and really integrating myself into the culture, learning about the people and their lifestyles. I have volunteered on organic farms in Italy, France, Costa Rica and Spain and plan to work on more throughout the world :) I hope to one day have my own self sustaining permaculture farm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I have couchsurfed in Costa Rica, Panama, Germany , Italy and United States. Through traveling I have been able meet beautiful souls which have the same vision as I do and who have inspired me to become the best person that I can possibly be. I have met people who truly have love for their countries and who have shown me the breathtaking beauty that this world has blessed us with. I want to keep meeting like minded people throughout the world who love our planet as much as I do and surround myself with nothing but good energy and long lasting friendships. Show me the world through your eyes and I will show you the world through mine :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was studying communications in college but wasnt really certain that I wanted to dedicate the rest of my life to this profession. I made the conscious decision to take a semester off and see what was out there in hopes of finding new adventures that would eventually lead me to finding myself. It was the best 5 months of my entire life because not only did I make amazing memories that I will carry with me forever, but I also realized that my love for mother nature was so grand that I wanted to work in Environmental Science so that I could travel for the rest of my life while also giving back to our planet which gives so much to us.
