I spent my childhood in Kolkata, the cultural capital of India. Did my schooling Ramakrishna Mission and did my undergrad studies from Jadavpur University. As a part of the politically charged up state, I was no exception . Apart from this, I love travelling and listening to music. I have been to almost half of the Indian States; which covers the towering Himalayas in the North to the extreme waves of Kanyakumari in the south. My philosophy in life is simple : 'Live and let Live'. And as far as travelling is concerned, there is an old Chinese saying: ' A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.' ; which I follow wholeheartedly. Joining couchsurfing is just a part of the first step. I wish to meet as many people as possible and I want to experience the vibrant cultural diversity of the world. YOLO :) :)

A means to connect to nice people from different nationalities and background, I am fortunate to be a part of the Couchsurfing community. I wish to travel as many places as possible and couchsurfing provides the opportunity to meet locals and get drenched in the cultural beauty of different places of the world.

I am a Movie buff, but I dont like action movies and stuff , unless it is by Christopher Nolan. Bengali Movies of Satyajit Ray, Ritwick Ghatak and Bollywood movies of Anurag Kashyap (Gangs of Waseypur) and RK Hirani (3 Idiots) are also my favorite.
Books and Novels of Rabindranath Tagore, Saratchandra Chattopadhyay, Orhan Pamuk and Paulo Coehlo are my favorite :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

There are many amazing things I have done and experienced. Waking up at 3 am to see the sunrise at Kanchenjunga in Sikkim, Walking a distance of 15 km to see the natural bridge of Andaman and Nicobar Islands before noon (it submerges due to high tide), randomly planning to visit Kathmandu (Nepal) and executing it one day before (its a long story :) ) , getting drenched at Darjeeling at minus temp in the valley clouds (you have to see it to believe it :O) .. and the list goes on ... :)
