Hey! I’m Arin, a Data Science student, AI startup founder, and full-time travel enthusiast. While I spend part of my life teaching machines how to think smarter, my true joy comes from exploring the world and meeting new people. So far, I’ve visited 13 countries, covered almost all of South India, and I’m still hungry for new adventures. I believe life’s too short to stay in one place, so I try to collect experiences, not things. I enjoy meeting like-minded travelers, making new friends, and just hanging out, sharing stories over a cup of chai or a spontaneous street food trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay — it’s about creating real connections. Hotels are great for comfort, but they rarely offer the chance to meet new people, hear interesting stories, and share genuine experiences. I love how Couchsurfing allows people from different backgrounds to connect and learn from each other. It makes every trip more meaningful when you know you’ve made new friends along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I listen to pretty much anything that matches my mood, whether it’s Bollywood beats or international hits. I’m a huge Netflix person — sci-fi, comedies, suspense thrillers, both Bollywood and Hollywood — you name it, I’ve probably binge-watched it. I don’t read books as much (Netflix usually wins that battle), but I’m always up for a good recommendation if you have one!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I’ve done is probably skydiving. Jumping out of a plane was both terrifying and thrilling, but the moment you’re floating in the air with nothing but the sky around you — it’s an experience that stays with you forever. I’ve also tried bungee jumping, paragliding, scuba diving, and I’m always looking for the next adrenaline rush. Life is one big adventure, and I try to embrace it fully.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing what I know, whether it’s about AI, data science, or how to start a business (along with some of my startup mistakes, which are always great conversation starters). I’m always eager to learn new things from others — be it local customs, cooking recipes, languages, or just hearing people’s unique life stories. Traveling has shown me how much we can learn from each other when we’re open and curious. I believe every person I meet has something new to share, and I’m always excited for that exchange.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I’m respectful, clean, independent, and always grateful for any space offered. I enjoy great conversations and can share plenty of travel stories, startup experiences, or just some good laughs over coffee.
