Hi! I'm Arjun Jain, from New Delhi, India — a cultural worker, teacher, and lifelong learner. For the past few years, I’ve been running an intimate, experimental cultural space in Delhi called The Red House, where artists, philosophers, and seekers gather to share, question, and connect.

I’m now on a new path, beginning a life in Croatia — building community, offering classes, and slowly learning the language. I love meaningful conversations, seaside silences, and picnics under old trees.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe in the kind of world where people open their homes to strangers and leave as friends. I’m not just looking for a couch, but for a window into how you live, think, and feel about your city.
I want to understand Zagreb not just through maps and monuments — but through kitchens, walks, stories, and cups of coffee.

Couchsurfing has provided me, really, with life-changing experiences. I have met some extraordinarily kindred spirits here, who have remained the truest of friends ever since I've met them.

Okay, of course, all of these do keep changing, but here're what're on my mind right now!

Movies: Zindagi na milegi Dobara, Dil Chahta Hai, Notting Hill, Lion King, The Before Series, films by Pather Panchali, by Woody Allen...

Music: These day? 80s pop for sure! When times were simpler, and people weren't afraid to feel! But yeah, I've loved classics rock for most of my life, and also Indian classical music!

Books: Wittgenstein, Tolstoy, Gandhi, John Ruskin, Siddhartha, The Prophet.... and many, many more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done SO many, I've lost count by now, haha! Every three or four years, my life looks COMPLETELY differently!

Most recently, I built a cultural center in Delhi from the ground up—Red House—a space for artists, thinkers, and seekers. Hosting over 100 events, it has become a little oasis of soul in the chaos.
