关于我

Hey fellow traveller, welcome to my profile. Let me introduce myself :)
Let's start from what we have in common. I guess we all share the same story: occasional travels, cheap hostels, up to the point where we found the correct way to travel. For me, it started with airbnb. A bit worried at the beginning, I rented a flat in Paris and it turned out to be the best accomodation I've had. I saved a lot of money, but, more importantly, I escaped the 'hotel atmosphere' and felt like a part of the city.
At some point I tried couchsurfing and it turned out to be even better :) I hosted and was hosted, and it all brought the same positive emotions. What differs couchsurfing from airbnb is this purely voluntary basis - I met people on airbnb who host for only for money, partially for money and partially for experience, and only for experience. But I guess what you read is no surprise for you :) Makes you remember your own story?
Right now I have this comfort of not worrying about the money anymore. I don't have to travel cheaply and, unlike it was for the most of my life, the time is more valuable resource for me than the money. But I cannot stand this 'hotel atmosphere' anymore - I got too much used to the situation when a host would take care of me, as included in the price, and the price is zero :D . Sometimes I do company excursions and then I stay in hotels - I'm a real pain in the **** for the owner, as I constantly ask for recommendations and such. - 'Can't he just go to his room?' :P
In total, I hosted more than 30? 50? people in different flats where I used to live and I never took a penny for that. But my guests paid me with something more valuable - a great time we had together :) oh, and they did the dishes :P
At the moment I don't really host on cs - my network grew up so large that I reserve a spot for my friends and their friends. I am a member of European - wide voluntary student organization, where we all travel a lot and look for a host through friends. However, feel free to write me to get some recommendations on places to visit. Don't ask for a host. Cause I can't really refuse when somebody asks for help and I will try to squeeze you somewhere between the other guests and you would put me in trouble :P

音乐、电影和书籍

any music
there's no music that's not music
I listen to the music at least 2h a day, from vocal house, through classic rock, to Ludovico Einaudi
My fav out of movies is LOTR trilogy (I did a marathon a few times :D), but the same rules as with the music applies - no certain genre
Sadly, I don't read too many books now - I read a couple dozen student books a year, research papers and such. But some time ago I was into fantasy

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hosted 13 people at once :D
(11 air mattresses :P )
