About Me

Hey there! I’m Cindy, an adventurous and free-spirited soul from Belgium. I’m a solo mom, a massage therapist, a beekeeper, and an eternal traveler at heart. Life, for me, is about meaningful connections, deep conversations, and experiencing the world through shared stories, music, and culture.

I live for spontaneity, discovering new places, and embracing the beauty in small things—whether it's the warmth of a campfire, singing under the stars, a soulful melody on my guitar, or the quiet magic of a sunrise after a long night of conversations. I believe in kindness, in sharing what we have, and in creating a home wherever I go.
What I Can Share with Hosts & Guests

Respect, openness, and kindness are my core values. I believe in treating every person and place with gratitude and care. I don't need luxury—I just need good vibes, a comfortable spot, and meaningful exchanges. Let’s create memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing isn’t just about a free place to stay—it's about sharing experiences, stories, and laughter. I love meeting like-minded people, learning from different cultures, and offering the same hospitality that I hope to receive. Whether hosting or being hosted, I believe in the power of human connection and the magic that happens when strangers become friends.

Interests

Nature Lover:
Whether I’m singing in the dunes, camping with my kids and dogs in the woods, or meditating by the sea, nature is my sanctuary.

Music and art:
I play guitar and love singing around the fire. Music is a universal language, and I’m always up for a jam session.

Healing and mindfulness:
I run my own massage therapy practice and explore alternative healing techniques like Gua Sha, Moxa, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Sustainability and DIY:
I enjoy simple, self-sufficient living —whether that’s beekeeping, making natural remedies, or upcycling furniture.

Community and spirituality:
I’m part of the Rainbow Family of living light (hippie/spiritual community with people from all over the world, who love to gather in nature) and believe in living with an open heart, sharing what I have, and embracing the present moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mantra's, rainbow songs, any kind of music to jam too... Music is my soul!

I don't read but listen to fantasy books and stories that really happened to people.

About movies I have a big interest range, although I never watch TV.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessing the Northern Lights & Bioluminescent Algae in Belgium

One of the most breathtaking things I’ve ever witnessed was seeing the Aurora Borealis dance across the night sky while standing on a beach in Belgium. As if that wasn’t already surreal enough, the water was glowing green, when we danced in it due to bioluminescent algae, creating an otherworldly scene where the sky and sea seemed to merge in luminous harmony.

Standing there, surrounded by the shimmering lights above and the glowing water beneath, I felt like I had stepped into a dream. It was a reminder that nature always finds ways to surprise us with its beauty, even in the most unexpected places. Moments like these make me want to keep exploring, chasing the magic hidden in the world around us. That was also my most magical and happiest moment in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love welcoming travelers into my home and sharing good energy! If you stay with me, here’s what you can expect:

A Cozy, Peaceful Place to Stay – I have a double bed in my daughter’s room, a single bed in my son’s room, and space for extra mattresses if needed. It’s simple but comfortable, warm, and full of good vibes.

A Zen Household – My home is calm and relaxing. The dogs spend most of their time outside in the garden, and the atmosphere is peaceful rather than chaotic.

A Beautiful Garden & Evening Fireplace – In the summer, my garden is a quiet retreat, perfect for relaxing. I have a fireplace that can be used in the evening, once my bees settle down for the night. Since they share that space during the day, the fire can only be lit after dark—when they no longer fly. It creates a magical atmosphere for deep talks and unwinding under the stars while the bees buzz in the background and the smell of their hives surround us.

Great Conversations & Deep Talks – I love meaningful conversations, storytelling, and exchanging perspectives. Whether over a cup of tea or by the fire, I’m always up for a good chat.

Oven Meals & Baking, Not Cooking! – I hate standing over a stove, but I love baking and preparing meals in the oven! If you enjoy cooking, you’re more than welcome to cook for us (seriously, I won’t stop you!). Otherwise, I’ll happily make something oven-baked.

Relaxing Massage (if time allows) – As a professional massage therapist, I might be able to offer you a relaxing massage if we find the time.

Music & Tranquil Vibes – I play guitar and love creating a peaceful, cozy atmosphere. If you enjoy music or play an instrument, we can share a jam session or just relax with good sounds.

Local Tips & Hidden Gems – I know some great spots in the area, especially if you love nature, alternative lifestyles, or unique experiences.

Most importantly, I offer a safe, welcoming space with an open heart. My home is a place to unwind, recharge, and share good energy. All I ask in return is respect, kindness, and a positive spirit!
