About Me

Born in the Philippines, raised in the USA, currently floating around the planet!

I love to wander. We all have such different lives and I like to see how other people live around the world. Let's talk about music, plants, dancing, food, musicals, science, society, the universe...or everything and nothing at all!

I went to school for neuroscience and psychology, and ended up as a software developer. Now I do none of the above— I'm just trying to see the world for what it is and meet as many wonderful people as I can in the time I have. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and seeing new places, and I want to facilitate others doing the same. I've met so many cool people in my travels and I'm hoping this way I can meet even more cool people, both while traveling and at home. I'm sad Couchsurfing has all but died in the US but I'm hoping the community is still alive elsewhere. :')

Music, Movies, and Books

There are very few musical genres (that I know of) that I won't listen to. I really love traditional Celtic music (and traditional Quebecois by extension). I go to a lot of EDM festivals and love really weird experimental bass music.

Also as a swing dancer and Lindy hopper I am very partial to 20s and 30s big band jazz. ^.^

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Roadtripped the western USA and Canada and saw 9 national parks in a year— including a couple in other countries

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach you any dances I know (swing/Lindy hop, a little blues, some basic salsa and bachata) and would also love to learn/practice any dances you'd want to share!

Also any instrument you can teach me to any extent, I would love to learn! For my part, I can teach basic piano and some percussion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to cook, clean, whatever I can to make my stay a joy rather than a burden :)

I'm not exactly a chef but I can follow a recipe and have a few go-to dishes I can make pretty well when the ingredients are available :D
