About Me

Taking a break in my career to see the world a bit! I love exploring both nature and the urban environments that make a nation unique. Lover of hiking, mountains, motorbiking, beaches, night life, bar crawls 🍺, night markets, making international friends, and enjoying everything the world has to offer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to make more expensive nations more affordable, and I find locals who reach out to the international community to often be welcoming, friendly, and informative! Couch surfing brilliantly brings everyone together for that, and I hope to offer the same local service from my hometown when I return!

Interests

When I travel to a new country, I enjoy learning not only of the cities, the country, and the food, but also the history and culture that brought about the uniqueness and invidual circumstances that led to a modern day country and it's citizens. And who doesn't like beer? I've found that out in the nightlife you can find friends and locals who can further help with suggestions on where to go, what to see, and maybe even tag along.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Eastern Philosophy, star wars, star trek, pop music. Am I really an engineer if I don't give a shout out to mechatronics, physics, solar thermal chemistry (ask me about that one), and general relativity?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've "starred" in a South Korean documentary on travel and got to spend the day with some Korean actors and actresses while sampling local food and culture. I'd never eaten food and been paid for it before! Great experience, would repeat 👌🏻

Teach, Learn, Share

Love to talk about local dialect, try new food, beer, and I'll even talk to you about politics 😶

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm definitely open to sharing living costs up front! Just looking to beat the prices of Australian and new Zealand hostels and hotels. If exploring nightlife and returning late is a problem then we can work out a schedule! If it's not OK at all, I understand and I'll be up front about it!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
