Hey my name is Armand. Originally from South Africa, moved to America for 10 years, been living in China for 3. I would say I like travel, but that isn't quite accurate. What I really like is living in new places for longer periods of time and embracing all the challenges and rewards that come along with it. I split my time between hanging out with friends, staying active, and learning whatever it is that interests me, oh and work. My friends are important to me, I think of them very much as family. I enjoy all types of sports, especially anything that can challenge me. Currently that would include; rock climbing, kiteboarding, running, snowboarding/skiing, amongst many others. I always have a strong desire to keep learning. If I go too long without learning something new or accomplishing something new I start to get grumpy. It is important to me that I enjoy my work so I am currently transitioning into a new career. I am very happy with my life and would be hard pressed to find many things I want to change.
I am a part time chemistry teacher, studying computer science so that I can have a greater degree of freedom and potentially be my own boss. The rest of the time I'm hanging out with friends at cafes or restaurants, trying to improve my Chinese, or going to some new place in China (my current goal is to climb all five of the great mountains).
