About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently living in Cambodia working with NGO's and teaching english.

ABOUT ME

Graduated university a few years ago, after some years being sedentary in Atlanta, Ga, i'm back out in the world. Living and working in Seoul, South Korea now. I'm trying to travel around Korea as much as possible. and soon... all of Asia!

PHILOSOPHY

Don´t be evil, and take it easy. in a nutshell i try not to rub other people the wrong way, and dont worry so much. i feel like if i am positive in what i do the universe will continue to be good to me. so far its working, and when bad things happen i know something great will happen later. things tend to balance themselves out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to meet people and share what i have learned through life. I'm really enjoying the city life here in Seoul, i know a few places, but i'm always looking for that next awesome bar or park or restaurant.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experience is staying with friends while i am out of town, a few surfers in Costa Rica. Plus more than a few hostels in Mexico and Costa Rica. I've been meeting a lot of surfers lately, so i decided to get back into it.

Interests

Archaeology and anthropology are my more serious interests.
i love going to concerts, as many as possible.
i do a lot of cooking and reading. i also enjoy camping and hiking a lot. i have recently got into some water sports; canoe and kayaking mostly.
oh, and bars and restaurants on the regular.

Music, Movies, and Books

my favorite authors are Douglas Adams (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy et. al.), Kurt Vonnegut, Paublo Coelho (love The Alchemist, want to read more), Orson Scott Card, Aurthur C. Clarke, Azimov, mostly sci-fi and non-fiction type stuff
I like A LOT of music, lately i have been listening to a lot of 80´s American music, The Talking Heads especially, and some cray psychadelic funk-rock. listing all the bands i like would take way to much time and the list would go on and on, so just ask me when you meet me.
i like good movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

when i was in Mexico for a month or so in 2008-2009 i visited 10 different ruins all over the country. from the Huasteca region in the Northeast, where my family is from, to the jungles of Palenque. i saw the remnants of the Maya and Aztec civilizations, as well as some areas that most people are not so interested in, but that fascinated me to no end.

Teach, Learn, Share

i have a lot to say about what what is going on in the world these days. i think if we share what we have learned with everyone, the world will change into a better place for everyone. I am also well informed about the history about the ancient (and not so ancient)history of the Americas.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
