To meet all kinds of people do crazy things, and have good stories to tell when I'm old.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Girl Guides and am now in Scouting with the University of Waterloo Rover Crew. I volunteer with the KW Humane Society, the MS Society, Cancer Society, and anywhere else that sounds interesting. My mom is both physically and mentally disabled and lives nearby, so I am very familiar with the challenges and needs of people with varying disabilities. I have narcolepsy, and ran a sleep disorders support group for several years.

I enjoy camping, dancing, karaoke, theatre, modern and classical music, horror films, sightseeing and exploring. I bellydance for fun. I am very involved in LGBTQ rights activities, and have many friends who are transgendered. I myself am not trans, but am more liberal minded than most liberal-minded folks out there!

PHILOSOPHY

I want to do my best to have no regrets on the day I die.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about this site some time ago, and although I haven't used it before i told many friends about it. The feedback I get is that it is a great community, and my friends have enjoyed both surfing and hosting.

I am quite happy to do sightseeing with people, or give advice on what to do in the area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never done couchsurfing, but have travelled a lot and stayed in many types of hostels. The best was an 1100 year old castle in Germany!

I went swimming in a cenote in Mexico. Fresh, clear water 70 metres deep, pooled in a huge crater made by a meteorite 100 000 years ago.

I climbed the pyramids at Teotihuacan.

Sang a concert with a travelling choir in the great hall of Palace of the Popes in Avignon, France.

I'm a camper. If you've never camped before and would like to, I may be able to help you out as I have loads of extra equipment and camp frequently during the summer months.
