About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling

ABOUT ME

As a friendly guy with an eye for adventure, my recent travels to South America was a trip of a lifetime. One of the best things about South America was how open and friendly everyone was over there. I would love to meet fellow travellers who come to my city and show them that same kind of warm hearted friendliness and inclusiveness that I have experienced on my trips.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only heard about other peoples experiences in couchsurfing and heard about what a positive experience it has been. At the moment, I can meet up for coffee to offer an insight into what my city has to offer but should have a couch available shortly.

Interests

I am usually a very active person who loves to play sport and keep fit whether indoors and outdoors. I also like to meet up with friends whether it's for tea, dinner or a drunken night out dancing. To relax I like to listen to music, watch films and read.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have recently been introduced to some brilliant Argentinian films; Nine Queens and The Secret in their Eyes. I also like comedies such as Wedding Crashers and more action oriented films such as Batman or X-men.

When it comes to listening to music, it really depends on my mood. My current favourites are the Foo Fighters who formed the soundtrack to my last few weeks in South America. When I need some pumping music to spur me on as I run I might listen to Calvin Harris or High Contrast. For a more relaxing experience you might hear some chilled out music coming from classic chillout bands such as Leftfield, Royskopp or The Beloved.

When it comes to reading I am now on the last book of the Millenium Trilogy, The Girl who kicked the Hornest Nest and am looking for my next page turner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The golden eye bungee jump Switzerland, the 3rd highest in the world (I think)
Sky diving in the sky diving capital of Europe (Emporia Brava, Spain)
Iguacu falls (both the Argentinian and Brazilan side)
Inca Trail and Lost City Treks were both magical and tough, both amizing experiences that I will never forget

Teach, Learn, Share

Having spent some time learning Spanish, I would like to continue and in return I can help with learning English. We can even do this language exchange on Skype if that suits.

Otherwise, I can also teach Indian cooking or maybe how to play guitar.

I would love to learn all abouth the different cultures out there and especially, as a food lover, all the different cuisines that are out there.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Ukraine, United States
