About Me

I was in fact member of CS since much longer than 2016, but it was a shared account. Currently living in Zürich, we have an amazing and comfortable couch and always a cold beer in the fridge. What to say ? I enjoy travelling and meeting new people, but that seems obvious for someone on couch surfing! Other than that, I'm in my early thirties and living in Zürich for professional reasons mainly, I originally come from the french speaking part of the country (where I have several friends, some of them also hosting for couch surfing).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because we have a new flat, with an amazing couch/guest room, and willing to share a few hours of live with complete strangers to learn more about the world. As simple as that !

Interests

On the serious side:
- Development economics (Microfinance, emerging countries, etc)
- Politics
- History

On the less-serious / private side:
- Good food, good music, good people, let's make this night count!
- Hiking, travelling, discovering
- Cooking (I'm very happy to cook something for my guests!)
- talking, listening, thinking and exchanging about live

  • dining

Music, Movies, and Books

- Music; greatly varies from months to months, and generally a bit of everything but with a clear dominance of Rock' music (typically BRMC)

- Generally more a fan of good and meaningful movies (e.g. those in the Criterion Collection) mostly from Europe. I prefer European movies because they tend to be more "realistic" about human soul, exploring it in the grey areas, while american movies are too binary black/white, Evil/good for my taste. Live is more complicated than that. But don't take me wrong; from time to time I do enjoy a silly blockbuster with a slice of Pizza, some friends and a 6-pack of cold beers :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many claim the #1 spot; 5 days hiking through the Costa-Rican Jungle of Corcovado National Park, 6 days horse-riding in China near the Tibetan Border, 7 days horse-riding in the Atacamac desert in Chile, 1 week of Kayak in Norway, 1 week travelling through the Palestinians territories...

Teach, Learn, Share

"Teach, Learn, Share" ? Sounds like "Explain about yourself, listen about others, get out of that a better person". Deal me in.
