Alternative electronica and Rock'n'roll, Barroco and medieval music, avant-garde... very diverse universes ! If there were only one book to mention, i would say Samuel Beckett, Watt. I used to read a lot about humanities, but i've slow down theory for now. I'm found of (old?) movies in the nouvelle vague vein, but sci-fi blockbusters are fine too !
