I teach adult migrants our difficult language, Dutch, and enjoy trying this a lot. I love my city, my friends, nature, reading, used to go out a lot but only do it seldom anymore, like good food and music wauw can't even describe that.

I live together with my partner Louisa, who is a psychologist who works with teenagers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music has always taken an important role in my life. I listen to a lot of music, and many different kinds of music too. Think about The Streets, Cream, Gabriel Rios, Angèle, Luiz Bonfa, Schntzl, Nils Frahm, Lianna La Havas, Fela Kuti, ...

I read lots of books as a kid, lost the habit during my adolescent years and rediscovered it since a year or three. Here again: hard to name a specific genre. Murakami, Johan Harstadt, Auster, Goliarda Sapienza, Alejandro Zambra, Tommy Wieringa, and heaps of other Dutch/Belgian writers that nobody will know :)

Films: I name a few that impressed me the last few years: Dune, Before-trilogy, Apocalypse Now, The Matrix, Riceboy Sleeps, Spirited Away
