Hey there. I'm Arno, 36 years old. I live in an apartment with my girlfriend right near train station Gent Sint Pieters, which is a 20 minute walk from the city centre. I work at Volvo Cars here in the harbor. In my spare time I'm a musician and I've been experimenting with screenwriting on and off the last few years.

I've learned that I can connect far more easily with people from other countries, that have a wanderer mindset, than with belgians. That's why I'm always open to meeting nice travelers and showing them around in Ghent.

A few years ago I had an accidental guest in my house, and realized how beautiful chance meetings can be. I've also traveled to far countries myself and have had the best experiences when I met locals who introduced me to their culture and way of life. I'm convinced this is the best way to travel, hands down :-) Since then I've had several guests in my house and it was always a great and uplifting experience.
