Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I occasionally host and travel. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world, and I especially like hosting and making new friends. I spent part of my childhood in Sarawak, Borneo, at a time when there were fewer people, and hospitality was something I grew up with, in a very social and multicultural community.

I feel like Couchsurfing is a genuine 'sharing economy', built on trust and social networks. It is the people we know and the experiences we share that make us, as a society and individuals, truly rich.
