About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To know the world and the people in it.

ABOUT ME

I am a passionate advocate for traveling and I hope to get as much in as possible before I do anything else. I have two wonderful parents who have supported me with every decision that I've made and give me great advice. I have an older sister and a twin and are constantly looking out for each other. I grew up on a farm so I love animals. When I was little we had pigs, goats, chickens, a cow, dogs and cats. Now that my sisters and I are somewhat grown-up my parents have started another little pet family. Now they have chickens, goats, turkeys, ducks, geese, dogs-3 shelties:Pearl, Rudy and Baby and 2 corgies: Lucy and Harry, and an African Grey parrot.

Other things about me:
~My favorite colors are pink and red
~I'm in love with my parents' corgi, Prince Harry who is probably the cutest dog in the world.
~I can be very bossy sometimes, but am also very determined.
~I collect rocks and sometimes unusual things from different places I visit.
~I love roses
~I am obsessed with taking good care of my nails.
~I love flying and airports in general
~I love observing people and how they interact with each other.
~Ireland is my home away from home.

There's so much more about me to know---if we meet I will gladly tell you more.

PHILOSOPHY

Smile! All the time. Take life as it comes and take advantage of every opportunity that you can!
Now to the serious stuff...I believe that our world has more to offer us than we could ever have imagined existed...information, experiences, love, friendship- and that is why I am passionate about discovering its depths and finding out more about myself along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Interacting on the website and hopefully will be a host soon! I currently live in a house off-campus that cannot host surfers but will be back home with my parents again...hopefully I can talk them into becoming sufer co-hosts with me! No matter what though, I'm always available for a chat, tour or whatever else.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a novice couch surfer but definitely hope to be a host and a surfer soon! I heard about it through one of my roommates in Northern Ireland who had friends that had done it and loved it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a heck of a lot of great things in my lifetime but one thing I have done that has been absolutely amazing was living in Northern Ireland for five months. I lived in a flat with 8 other people, 7 of us American, 1 from Belgium and another from Spain...and we had the time of our lives. Pubbing and clubbing, cooking and not cleaning..ha.ha..when I absolutely had to, galavanting around the country and others, staying up until 7am talking or watching movies and sleeping until 1pm or 3pm the next day. The best thing about this though was the people I met. I never knew that I could be so connected to and so welcomely embraced by people from so far away.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of the most important things I've learned in my life as a traveler is: When in doubt, just ask.
No matter where I have been or who has been around me, if I'm totally clueless about what I'm doing or where to go I always ask for help and thankfully there are kind people in the world who will give it.
