ABOUT ME

I'm an interesting mix of social butterfly and wallflower - alternately outgoing and introspective. I'm currently taking a break from 'normal life', to get perspective on my work as a musician. I work with various theatre/dance/performance groups and artists to create musical soundtracks and interactive electronic installations. My current solo project is a suitcase full of audio electronics which I can use to busk (street performance) anywhere I go - though it is not yet ready for the public!

I enjoy cooking, games, film, reading (currently wading through Saramago in Portuguese!).

I profess no religion or philosophical dogma of my own currently, but I tend to be sympathetic with all those with tolerant beliefs. At various points in my life I've practiced Taoism, Zen Buddhism, and Christianity.

I am not a big drinker/party person currently, and tend to match the habits of those I'm with. I smoke cigarettes occasionally, but never indoors.

Looking forward to traveling to Spain soon for the first time. I'm very interested in meeting You!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently traveling in Iberia, looking to meet new friends, and upon returning home I plan to open my doors to others, wherever I may be.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to the Project, I've only tried it once in my own town. I've heard such great things from good friends that I've decided to try my luck abroad!

I saw an avalanche on Mt. Anapurna, I suppose that tops it. Ah, yes, then returning to Kathmandu to find the streets running red with sacrificial ox blood... Wow.

I Ching (Book of Changes) - I do readings, mostly just for myself, and have some knowledge of the theories behind it

I sing some North Indian raga music, have studied with a few great teachers. Also know the basics of Brazilian samba percussion.

The science of Tuning - I've studied alternative music tuning theory and practice (ie, 'just intonation'), and would love to share/learn.
