I am a postdoctoral fellow at University of Alberta. I earned my PhD from RWTH Aachen (Germany) while working as a guest scientist at Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (Germany). Prior to that, I did two masters in Biotechnology and Environmental Sciences from National Institute for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering (Pakistan) and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Saudi Arabia), respectively.

I am a quite person who tries to stay optimist in the major aspects of my life. I have seen different cultures (Indians, Arabs, Western) and try to observe human behavior closely without getting judgmental :-) I am a keen learner and curious who is struggling for a better life. I have traveled a lot and out of Pakistan since 8 years. I own philosophy is, "education is not enough unless you expose yourself to different cultures in order to be a good human being".

I think couchsurfing is a good place for travelers. I used this website several times as a guest and it worked quite well. I would be glad to host people. I read, write, and help. I love playing piano and table tennis. Recently, I developed a strong interest in NetFlix a well :p
