About Me
***ATTENTION: WE DO NOT ACCEPT GUESTS WHO SEND COPY-PASTE REQUESTS, NOR DO WE ACCEPT CSers WITH NO REFERENCES AND INCOMPLETE PROFILES ALL OF THESE WILL BE DECLINED WITHOUT EXPLANATION***
Back in the day you could change your CS name once and a while. the last time I used couchsurfing to surf couches my husband and I were both using my profile, hence Jessica and Jonas. Now I cant seem to change it back to just my name. To complicate things even more, its not Jonas in the picture but a good friend of mine, who to my knowledge isnt on CS... :P
CURRENT MISSION: To be true to myself in every moment.
ABOUT ME:
All about me: I am American, born in Michigan, but raised in 7 different states nearly simultaneously--thanks to the artist lifestyle of my parents. I met my husband in Denmark at Roskilde Festival July 2008. We had a 3 year long distance relationship until I moved here to Denmark May 2011. Until now, I had never lived in one spot/place/city longer than 4 years and completely relate to the backpacker lifestyle, but now I am trying out the domesticated life.
PHILOSOPHY
If we are lucky, we get roughly 80 years on this earth, in this form to do with what we please. I strive to convey a personal, intimate message and to truly become part of myself and others. Experience and sharing breeds genuine humanity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have friends sprinkled all over the US and have enjoyed their couches numerous times, as well as, shared my own. I would like to start hosting, traveling, and meeting people in my new continent.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
all have been great so far! Couchsurfing is a social project, its about culture exchange and sharing, its not just a free place to stay, hence our aforementioned policy about declining certain requests.
Interests
I study -- a lot. But when it gets to be too much I enjoy losing myself in playing bridge, drawing, photography, meditation, cooking, hot chocolate, reading, movies, shows and theater, sitting in silence, couchsurfing events, deleting my facebook account

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was held at gunpoint, fell off a roof, landed on my face, and lived to tell the tale.
Teach, Learn, Share
ok, this is the best advice I can give and its TOTALLY true--all the time not just when your traveling.(my mom told me about it and she works in theater costume) When you are retiring for the evening and taking off your clothes and shoes for the day, if you have a small spray bottle of vodka, spritz it into the armpits and crotch of your clothes and into your shoes they wont smell like sweat (or alcohol) tomorrow! Its important that you do it when your clothes are still moist with the days wear. Works on all kinds of fabric, I use it most on my cashmere and wool sweaters so I don't have to take them to the dry cleaners all the time. Happy Spritzing!
