About Me

ABOUT ME

My last trip was to Scotland in the summer of 2017. I drove around on my own for 3 weeks and it was fantastic. I would like to return to Ireland one day and Italy is also on my bucket list.

My friend Jeanne got me into the couchsurfing network. Everyone I've met through here has been great.

PHILOSOPHY

"If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host when I can and I attend some of the events with the Baltimore CS group.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've hosted several people and all were good experiences. I'm always telling people how great the CS community is here in Baltimore.

Interests

I'm a huge book geek. I also like making artcars, gardening, and taking naps. Lately I've been into British crime shows like Endeavour and Hinterland.

Music, Movies, and Books

Old movies are a favorite of mine, I love Celitc music like crazy. There used to be more venues for it in Baltimore, but there's a live session or two during the week that I attend when I can. I read mostly historical fiction and things related to my profession.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Conor Pass in Ireland at sunset is always amazing. Touching the spirals carved on Newgrange and knowing they were made thousands of years ago made me almost cry. Recently, I was at Skara Brae in Orkney for my birthday. It was a cold day and I was one of the few people there. It was perfect.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach kids to read. I learn from my students each and every day. The way young children see the world is an inspiration to me. They know what is important in life: stickers and candy. They are definitely on to something.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a comfy Lazy Boy couch and blankets. I also have an inflatable single mattress. Random dog snuggles may occur as well. They usually sleep with me but Winnie likes to give kisses to everyone who visits and Teddy will demand to be petted and fussed over since he's the mayor of Towson.

Countries I’ve Visited

Ireland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
