I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Middle of the prairies and a beautiful city. I left the city to work at a distillery in the heart of the Rocky Mountain Range in Banff National Park. Spent years enjoying the mountains through rock climbing, hiking and swimming in glacier waters. After that, spent a year and a half living in a converted van, travelling all over the west coast of Canada, America, and a bit of Mexico. While travelling along the west coast of California, I met marine industry professionals who introduced me to yachting as a career. In October 2019 I made the transition from land to sea and haven’t looked back.
I like to freedive, scuba dive, and generally be in the water as much as possible. I also love to rock climb. Anything that gets me out of my comfort zone is a win in my books.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot for work, and i find this website to be a valuable resource in meeting people in the community that have similar interests. I also make a wicked breakfast and lunch set up, and I love to cook for people and connect. I haven’t stayed with anyone specifically because of the website just yet - I’ve been using trusted house sitters, specifically for the dog and cat aspect of it. But, from the 17th of June to the 29th, i will be travelling through Belgium and i thought it would be a lovely opportunity to reconnect with this community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Red rock canyon. Hands down, the most beautiful place on earth.

Additionally, living in the Red Sea for 4 months was a certain highlight, absolutely beautiful sunrises and sunsets coupled with dolphins playing on our bow, and insane star lit nights. I’m very grateful for my experiences working on an ocean exploring vessel.

Allsooo going down in the submarine to -400m below sea level. That was an insane experience.

Happy, positive attitude. I cook, I clean, I sing, Taking joy in the little things in life, but not overwhelming in my energy. I am probably 50/50 extrovert/introvert where I certainly do need my quiet time. I love to help around the house, and really can’t see any problem with any problem.
