I received my BS in Biotechnology Engineering from the Autonomous University of Querétaro. I did my undergraduate thesis at the International Laboratory for Human Genome Research at UNAM.
Right now, I am applying to PhD programs.
While working on my undergraduate thesis, I fell in love with yeasts (microorganisms of great importance for making products like beer and bread), and decided to focus on them for my PhD project.
On the other hand, rock climbing and photography are important in my life, this sport gives me the opportunities to meet different marginalized communities and the beauty of the Mexican nature
