Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been a slacker on here, but after staying with a friend who hosted a very sweet Couch Surfer, I'm thinking about being more active. For now, I'm willing to play tour guide and meet up. I LOVE to meet new people, but I'm not quite ready to have a stranger sleeping in my place. After we meet, you are no longer a stranger. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was rooming with a friend recently who had a Couch Surfer over to stay. She was da best, and even let me crash the thank you dinner she planned for her host.
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a bookaholic: East of Eden, Lust for Life, To Kill a Mockingbird, anything non-fiction.
Movies: Amelie, documentaries, Indiana Jones. If you've seen SweetLand, I'll buy your coffee.
Music: My musical tastes change with my underwear. Currently listening to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Fleet Foxes, CCR and the Beatles.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rockhopped 300 feet over the Atlantic Ocean in Maine. Watched the moon rise over Florence from Fiesole while eating ladybug gelato with an Italian lawyer. Rode a bike through the Rhine Valley then drank wine made from the grapes I had just ridden past. Drank French military wine with a French soldier in Paris. Rode in a single-engine plane over the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Wait...that's five things. What can I say? Life is amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about: juggling. Food preservation. Gardening. Foraging. Cooking. Baking. Encaustic Painting. Wiring light fixtures (okay, I just did this for the first time, and only 3:4 fixtures work. You probably don't want me to teach you about electricity).
Things I'd love to learn more about: home repair, science-y nerdly-type stuff, Mac repair, edible plant ID, new hiking trails in my area.
