Despite my Japanese family name and my British given name, I was born and raised in small town in Brazil.

I'm a science nerd and love music. I'm grateful that my studies allowed me to get to know the world and meet fascinating people.

It's cliché, but I really want to be with people of different cultures and learn their different views over life. Life is too short and the world is too big!

Any music genre can appeal to me in someway. It can be the rhythm (like the brilliant afro-cuban rhythms, as in salsa), the amazing lyrics (the nostalgia-bringing sambas from my Brazil), the harmony (like jazz, like Jacob Collier, the Mozart of the 21st century), its catchiness and utter fun (I love dancing reggaeton)...

I like reading non-fiction, like science communication, and I'm trying to get more into philosophy. I should read more novels: Cien años de soledad was one of the greatest readings of my life.
