Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a new "couchsurfeur" that's why i haven't got any experience yet, but i hope it will change soon !
Interests
Social sciences, like economics and sociology (in fact, that the subjects which I study at university), with authors like Bourdieu, Marx, Keynes, Malinowski, Wacquant... How does the world work ? That is "the" question for me (and how should the world work, that is an other question...). Thinking about this, it's first understand how different we are all over the world. It's one of the reasons that I round the world this year. I'm very interested in other cultures, other people...
If you are still there, then you may think 2 things : 1) he speaks english very bad (in french, i'd say "like spanish cow") and you're right ! 2) he looks a little bit too serious, maybe boring ! But I say no ! What I wrote on the top is not my only interests (and they are not boring anyway ;-)
I also like football (who can seriously think that there is a football player better than Zidane ?), but I can't play until september because of an injury on my ligament. As you can read, I'm interested in movies, books, and of course, people and travel !

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies : all about the "nouvelle vague" (Godard, Truffaut....), like "A bout de souffle" (= "Breathless"), "Une femme est une femme" (= "A woman is a woman") or "Les 400 coups" (= "The 400 Blows"), Charlie Chaplin ("The Great Dictator", "Modern Times")...
Music : my tastes are very varied. For example : Janis Joplin ("Mercedes Benz"...), The Rolling Stones (I confess I always cry during "Angie") (then I put "Brown Sugar" or "Start Me Up"), Boney M ("Ma Baker"..."), Nancy Sinatra, Heather Nova but also Jacques Brel ("Ne me quitte pas", "La chanson des vieux amants") !
Books : I love Albert Camus ("L'étranger", "Le mythe de Sisyphe") and most of all Marguerite Duras ("L'amant", "L'amour", "Le ravissement de Lol V. Stein"...). For my mind, "Cyrano de Bergerac" by Edmond Rostand is one of the most beautiful text which has never been written (that why I decided to learn it by heart !). I also use to read a lot of books in social sciences, like Pierre Bourdieu or Karl Marx.
During my round the world, I decide to read the local litterature (when I'm in Russia, I'll read Dostovievski and Tolstoï, when I'm in USA, I'll read Kerouac or Hemingway...).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was five in 1990. I was in Washington with my mother and she decided to visit the White House. I didn't see the interest to do something else that playing Lego or going to the park with others child, but I didn't decide a lot of things in my life during this period. During the visit, we saw a couple of one old man an woman in front of us. The bodyguards asked us to step back. The old man knelt down and waved to me. I didn't know this guy that's why i didn't answer to him. But my mother told me that i had to. So i did it and the old man smiled. It was George Bush. Amazing, isn't it ?
Teach, Learn, Share
I would teach, so the future couchsurfing university concerns me ! In fact, in France, I've an "Agrégation" in Social Sciences (that is an exam to teach Social Sciences in high school). That's why I'll be very delighted to teach sociology or economics. In exchange, I think everyone who reads this page will understand that I need some english lessons very urgently;-)
